Come to the cross, to that place of weeping.
Where sin and shame in an ocean are drowned.
Come to the cross, to that place of forgiveness.
Jesus, the Shepherd invites you to come.
To the weary, the sin-sick and sad,
To the wasted, the bitter, the bad –
Come to that healing, holy place.
Wash in that mighty ocean of grace.
Not for riches did Jesus come down,
But emptied of glory, he gave up His crown,
That we might come to that healing place
And wash in that endless ocean of grace.
